Can't access your camera

If you encountered this error message during the identity verification process, you'll need to enable camera permissions for your device and/or browser to proceed. The steps to enable camera permissions may vary depending on your browser and device.


If you're using Chrome

For mobile devices below iOS 13:

  1. Go to Settings on your device
  2. Scroll down and select Safari
  3. Scroll down and select Camera. Set the permission setting to "Ask" or "Allow".


For mobile devices on iOS 13:

  1. Tap the "AA" icon in the URL bar in the top left
  2. Then tap "Website Settings." Here, set camera permissions to "Allow" or "Ask".


If you're using an iOS app

Allow Camera permissions:

  1. Go to Settings on your device
  2. Go to Apps
  3. Find the app that you wish to enable camera permissions for
  4. Find the App Settings and allow camera permissions


Ensure Lockdown mode is off for the App:

  1. Go to Settings on your device
  2. Go to Privacy & Security
  3. Under Security, go to Lockdown Mode
  4. Go to Configure Web Browsing
  5. Exclude the app from Lockdown Mode by turning that app off in the menu. Only apps that you have opened since enabling Lockdown Mode and which have limited functionality appear on this list.


If you're using an Android app

Allow Camera permissions:

  1. Go to Settings on your device
  2. Go to Apps
  3. Find the app that you wish to enable camera permissions for
  4. Find the App Settings and allow camera permissions
