Learn how to add, edit, deactivate, or delete a workforce member in Horizon.

A workforce member is an employee who will be monitored through Horizon. Workforce members do not have access to the Horizon platform. To add someone who will manage or administer Horizon, see Manage Horizon Users instead.

TABLE OF CONTENTS

Add a Member

1. Navigate to Workforce.

2. Click Members

3. Click Create Member.

4. Complete the relevant fields for the member. First name, last name, and email are required.

Fill out the fields relevant to your organization's operations. Completing as many fields as possible helps you take full advantage of Horizon's capabilities, including automated verifications and communications. Custom fields can also be configured to match your organization's specific requirements.

Note: A member must be assigned a Risk Profile for automated verifications to run. Verifications can also be launched manually.

5. Click Confirm Creation.

The member is now added to your workforce and will begin automated compliance monitoring based on their assigned Risk Profile.

Edit a Member

1. Navigate to Workforce.

2. Click Members

3. Click the member's name to open their profile.

4. Within the General tab, click Edit.

5. Update the necessary fields.

6. Click Save changes.

Note: If a member changes roles, update their Risk Profile promptly to ensure the correct verifications are running. Assigning a new Risk Profile triggers an evaluation of the member against the updated rules.

Deactivate a Member

When an employee leaves the organization or no longer needs to be monitored, you can deactivate their profile instead of deleting it. Deactivating stops compliance tracking while preserving the employee's historical record.

1. Navigate to Workforce.

2. Click Members

3. Find the member in the list.

4. Click the menu icon (⋮) next to their name.

5. Select Deactivate.

6. Confirm the action.

Note: Deactivating a member stops all future checks and reminders. While their compliance history remains visible for audit purposes, your organization is responsible for managing data retention in accordance with internal policies and applicable laws and regulations.

Delete a Member

Deleting permanently removes the member's profile and all associated history.

1. Navigate to Workforce.

2. Click Members

3. Find the member in the list.

4. Click the menu icon (⋮) next to their name.

5. Select Delete.

6. Confirm the action.

Note: In most cases, deactivating a member is recommended over deleting, to preserve their compliance history for audit purposes.
