A confirmation that a candidate is the legitimate holder of the identity information they've provided, using government-issued ID and biometric matching.

What's checked? 

Document authenticity, and a face match between the ID photo and the applicant's live biometric capture.

How does it work?

The candidate captures a live photo of the front and back (when applicable) of a government-issued ID, along with a live selfie. The ID and selfie are matched to confirm the document belongs to the person presenting it.

Accepted ID types

Driver's license, health insurance card, passport, NEXUS card, permanent resident card, national identity card, tribal identity card, and Refugee Protection Claimant Document. 

Candidates using a Refugee Protection Claimant Document must contact support@trustii.co directly, as this document requires manual verification. 

When to use it? 

Mandatory on every Trustii check. It runs before any other verification, so criminal record, credit, and reference results are anchored to a confirmed individual rather than unconfirmed, self-reported information.
