Workforce 

Everyone being monitored in Horizon, including current employees and pre-hire applicants. Each person needs a Risk Profile assigned to be automatically monitored.

Risk Profile

Defines the compliance requirements for a type of worker: which verifications are required, how often they repeat, when reminders go out, and which rules apply. 

Example: a "Commercial Driver" profile might include a quarterly driving abstract, an annual criminal background check, and a Hazmat certificate renewal every 3 years.

Violation

Created automatically when the result meets the conditions defined for a violation. This is an early warning, not a real-world event. 

Example: a driver's medical certificate expired yesterday. Nothing has happened yet, but they're now non-compliant, so a violation is created for review.

Incident

A real-world event that has already occurred, logged manually and linked to the relevant risk. 

Examples: a vehicle collision, a workplace safety incident, a failed roadside inspection.

Risk Register

The central record of every risk your organization tracks, along with the rules used to set conditions for violations or incidents.

Risk Score & Risk Matrix

Each risk gets a score based on likelihood × impact. The Risk Matrix gives a visual, color-coded view of risk severity across your organization.

Rules

The logic that determines whether a verification result meets requirements. 

Services

The specific checks Horizon runs, such as criminal record checks, driving abstracts, or document uploads.

Organizational Chart

A visual map of your workforce and reporting structure, with members who have active violations highlighted.
